Nicaragua's rural population, a vast majority of which contribute to the growth and export of coffee, live with significantly less access to basic services than their urban counterparts. 32% of the rural population still do not have access to safe and clean drinking water, while an even greater 63% do not have access to basic sanitation facilities.

Project Waterfall is currently funding two projects in Nicaragua, with our partners Water for People and Seeds for Progress. The projects will reach 912 people with clean water in the La Concordia, San Rafael del Norte and La Esmerelda districts of Nicaragua.
