Project Waterfall’s Safeguarding Policy
Purpose
Project Waterfall is committed to promoting the welfare and safety of all individuals within the communities we serve. Although our charity does not engage directly with community members, we work closely with delivery partners to ensure our projects uphold the highest safeguarding standards.
Scope
This policy applies to all Project Waterfall staff, volunteers, contractors, and partners involved in delivering our projects.
Policy Statement
Project Waterfall expects all delivery partners to operate in ways that protect individuals from harm, abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
All project activities must comply with applicable safeguarding laws and best practices to create safe environments in the communities served.
Responsibilities
Staff and Volunteers: Ensure familiarity with this policy and integrate safeguarding considerations into all aspects of project planning and partner collaboration.
Delivery Partners: Must adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures that meet or exceed Project Waterfall’s standards, including conducting risk assessments and safeguarding training for personnel.
Reporting and Monitoring
Project Waterfall requires delivery partners to report any safeguarding concerns or incidents immediately.
Regular assessments and evaluations will be conducted to verify compliance with safeguarding requirements.
Review
This policy will be reviewed annually to ensure ongoing alignment with safeguarding best practices and legal obligations.
