The Frugal Cup is a sustainability pioneer. It’s unique manufacturing process enables the use of recycled paper, which makes up 96% of every cup. The Frugal Cup is the only of its kind to drive demand for recycled materials, in turn stimulating a truly circular packaging economy as the cup is engineered so the liner and paper elements separate easily in typical paper pulping.

Through this partnership Project Waterfall and Frugalpac aim to reach even more people in coffee growing communities with clean water, sanitation and education.

Paul McReynolds, Head of Sales and Marketing at Frugalpac, comments:

“As a sustainable packaging manufacturer committed to making industry-wide change, and as consumer demand for brands to offer ethical solutions increases, we’re delighted to support the Project Waterfall initiative. As a nation of coffee drinkers, it’s important the whole industry comes together to make a difference, through the supply chain to the end user.

“The specially designed Project Waterfall Frugal Cup is made of recycled paper meaning consumers can make an environmentally friendly choice, while supporting this fantastic campaign to bring clean water, sanitation and education to coffee-growing communities. With a donation of 1p for every Project Waterfall Frugal Cup going directly to this cause, we’re encouraging operators to do their bit to ensure we develop a circular economy that works for everyone. We’ve left space on the cups for coffee shops and cafes to add their own branding, meaning they can proudly show their support for the 785 million people in the world living without clean water.”
