Meet Zofia

Project Waterfall would like to introduce Zofia Wootliff.  Zofia started interning with us this summer, and has since become an invaluable member of our team.  She has worked to strengthen our community relations in London, while also expanding our social media presence by reaching out to our friends in the coffee industry.  We look forward to seeing how she spreads the mission of Project Waterfall at her high school this Autumn.

While we are so grateful for Zofia’s work in our office, we are even more excited to share that she is currently in Ethiopia on the ground at one of our projects that was funded by UK Coffee Week this year!

Yesterday, we told you all about the Kibebe Tsehay orphanage in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and our project that brought clean water to the 590 children there.  We also told you about our goal to bring clean and safe drinking water to the children in Kibebe Tsehay’s sister orphanage, the Ketchene girls orphanage.  This week, Zofia will be visiting both Kibebe Tsehay and Ketchene, and will have the pleasure of meeting all of the children and wonderful staff members from both locations.  She will also get a chance to sit down with Dawit, a local representative from our partner Splash International, who has seen the project’s in Addis Ababa through from start to finish.

We are incredibly excited to hear about Zofia’s experiences in Ethiopia, and even more excited to share them with you.  Check back on our blog tomorrow and Thursday for updates about her journey.

This Friday is National Give Something Away Day.  We are asking all of our supporters to give away the value of their daily cup of coffee and donate just £3 to Project Waterfall.  We pledge that 100% of your donations will go towards bringing clean and safe drinking water to the Ketchene orphanage.  Because you clicked on this link, we know that you care.  If you donate on Friday, we know that you will make a real impact on the lives of the young girls in Ketchene.  Help us solve the global water crisis #onecupatatime.

To donate on July 15th text 'BREW32 £3' to the number 70070.

Don't forget to follow Project Waterfall on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to get updates throughout the week.
